The Lost Tribe Of Arizona Rides On!

Submitted by Max Heeres, Lost Tribe of Arizona

COVID-19 and all, the Lost Tribe of Arizona is not missing a beat. Our monthly dinner meeting has long switched to a Zoom meeting, beer in hand, which is less than ideal but at least we meet. We still ride as usual, staggered and with proper distancing per the CDC. For day rides we bring a sack lunch and always manage to find a nice picnic table with a view. Sometimes it takes a crisis to appreciate the little things.

Our winter is prime riding season, when we mainly ride the low deserts, as opposed to the cooler mountains in summer. This is our wide open spaces season, when we are reminded how much beauty the desert has to offer.

We have a contingent of snow birds, from other JMA clubs, who come down and ride with us in the winters. We would like to extend an invitation to anyone in the JMA to come ride with us.

This is my 4th year of being welcomed by the riders of the Lost Tribe. My thanks to Max and all of the friends here who help me wear out my motorcycles.

Sitting here in Cold dreary Northwest NJ, reading the latest JMA Newsletter. I notice something very familiar in 2 of the photos from this ride, my Son! Now with a smile on my face, I can go back to watching the snow melt and checking my Harley’s battery tender is still working.

Enjoy your riding weather, the summer heat is not that far away..............
