JMA President's Letter

Written by Bob Cohen, JMA President

It is difficult to ignore the worldwide events we are faced with every day. In attempt to maintain some quality of life, my focus has been on four things. First my family. Second the health of my family, both physical and emotional. Fourth, the physical and emotional health of my friends. And lastly, I just want to ride!

The coming year, there will be two major events in which the JMA club members will have an opportunity to enjoy. The first will be the San Diego R2R, of course to be held in San Diego, California, September 8-11, 2022. The website for this even should be up and running within the next few weeks with detailed information and for making reservations. The second event will be a ride through Israel commemorating Israel’s 75th Birthday. More details on this event in Israel will soon be provided with its own webpage and will be scheduled for some time in May 2023. Having done this trip by motorcycle on two occasions, I can tell you it is the ride of a lifetime. A ride that you will never forget.

Lastly, we will have elections for our new officers of the JMA in the next few months, where the new officers will commence their new term of office at the coming R2R in San Diego. This election cycle we are blessed with a number of candidates that are highly dedicated experienced professionals within the JMA Club Member organizations that want to continue their efforts in fostering the ideals that we, as Club Members, have fostered for a number of years, as well as some additional thoughts for consideration for all of us within the JMA organization. There are two candidates running for each of the offices of President, Vice-President, and Treasurer. We are truly fortunate to have so many dedicated volunteers within our organization to guide our Alliance for years to come.

Within this Newsletter, each of the candidates have shared their platform, background, and thoughts about representing the JMA. Each Club has one vote. The one casting the vote for each Club is your Club Representative. After reviewing the comments from each of the candidates, I highly suggest you reach out to your Club Representative, as soon as possible, to address your thoughts and suggestions.

The elections with be upon us within a short timeframe. So, get your feedback to your Club Representative quickly so your thoughts will be used to formulate a choice for candidate for each open position within your JMA.

Looking forward to seeing all of you at the R2R in San Diego. Looking forward to seeing you at the Israel 75th ride next May. And, of course, look forward to your Club’s participation in our JMA’s election process.
