About The Event:
Asheville, NC!!! One of the premier riding areas in Southeast USA! We will have rides of every skill level from the sedate Blue Ridge Parkway to “The Diamondback” and it’s twisties. A little bit of everything a motorcycle rider is looking for – pastoral valley views, challenging mountain climbs, twisty tight technical sections – add to this, a great mountain town with incredible sights (Smoky Mountains, waterfalls, The Biltmore) and fabulous food and breweries.

Asheville Meet ‘N Greet Thursday, September 5 to Sunday, September 8 Itinerary: (subject to change) Thursday 9/5/2019 Country Inn and Suites (199 Tunnel Road, Asheville)- check in is 3 PM If you are in town early enough, we will meet you in the lobby of the hotel at 3 PM and take a ride up Route 74A to the town of Chimney Rock, NC (great short run of twisty road, town is quaint and has small Harley dealer) ride is 40 minutes each way with a short stop in the town of Chimney Rock 6:30-7 PM - Dinner at O’Charley’s Restaurant (0.3 miles walk from hotel)($) Friday 9/6/2019 Meet 8 AM breakfast area Country Inn and Suites (breakfast incl with hotel stay) kickstands up at 8:30 AM (make sure your tank is full) Blue Ridge Parkway north stop at Craggy Gardens visitor center for bathroom and snack break (NO gas) back onto the Parkway north to Little Switzerland Inn if not interested in a technical ride, spend time at Switzerland Inn (great views, shops, snacks) if interested in a technical ride , it is 30-40 minutes to ride Route 226A (The Diamondback) back to Little Switzerland (circle of 16 miles) Lunch at the Chalet Restaurant ($) if not interested in a technical ride, ride back towards Asheville on the Blue Ridge Parkway if interested in a technical ride, we will be going back via the Blue Ridge Parkway to Route 80 (The Devil’s Whip) to Route 70 to I40 (even our interstates are fun and challenging and beautiful here) 3 PM – all meet at Harley Davidson of Asheville (huge), 20 Patton Cove Rd, Swannanoa, NC Dinner Cornerstone Restaurant (0.4 mile walk from hotel) then, rented bus ride to downtown Asheville (walk around Asheville, there is a famous Drum Circle, a nearby Cigar Bar (Tobacco Plus), a pinball museum ($15 pp all unlimited pinball games), many breweries and pubs (wicked weed funkatorium, AshevilleBrewery,..), shopping, buskers, the Retrocade ($10 pp vintage and modern video and arcade games and beers on tap) and much more) Saturday 9/7/2019 Meet 8:30 AM breakfast area Country Inn and Suites kickstands up at 9 AM (make sure your tank is full) Tunnel Road to I 240 to Route 63 (New Leicester Hwy) – (as soon as the road narrows, there are twisties, sweeping curves, etc) 10 AM stop at Trust General Store for gas, stretch, snacks, bathroom break Right turn onto Route 209 (The Rattler) into Hot Springs, NC (curves, mountain views, straightaways, hairpin turns, - quite a technical ride) if not interested in a technical ride, will leave from hotel and go Asheville Highway directly to Hot Springs, NC 11:30 AM reservations at Hot Springs world famous natural hot mineral water tubs (jetted hot tubs, cleaned after each group, built into wooden decks in the woods by the river with hot natural mineral water from deep inside the earth pumped in)($) 1:30 PM lunch at Mosaic or Spring Creek Tavern ($) Return to hotel via more sedate US 25/70 (Asheville Highway) to I26 to I 240 rented bus to dinner and back Dinner 7 PM at Luella’s BBQ, 501 Merrimon Avenue, Asheville ($) Sunday 9/8/2019 goodbyes over breakfast DO NOT FORGET BATHING SUITS AND TOWELS.
